Posca Art with Jeremy Ievins

Do you love Posca Art? Are you between the ages of 12 and 25? Have you always wanted to express your art and personalise your very own surfboard, denim jacket, helmet, shoes, etc? Then this workshop is for you! Bring along your own item to work on and local artist Jeremy Ievins will work alongside you, showing you how to prepare your item for painting, tips and techniques using posca pens and how to seal your finished artwork. Bookings are essential and there are limited spaces available. The cost of the session is $40 and includes the use of the posca pens as well as an awesome experience with a local artist. Creating Virtual Reality with Unreal Engine
Saturday 29 Sept & Sunday 30 Sept

In this 2 day workshop, participants will be introduced to the basic concepts of creating interactive content in Unreal Engine that can be used in designing VR experiences. They will be working in teams on constructing VR spaces capable of responding to their movement. After we design and test the designed architecture on a flat screen, we will work on optimizing it for VR. The main intended outcome of the workshop is to get introduced to one of the most powerful tools for authoring VR media, as well as to analyse and observe various types of interactions and creative storytelling methods used in VR today.

Participants will need to bring their own laptop with Unreal Engine installed on it. This is a free download from:
www.unrealengine.com
There will NOT be time to download this during the workshop so this has to be installed prior to attending.

Winter Watercolour Floral Workshop with Jill Eckermann.

For the experienced watercolour artist ,this two day workshop will focus on flowers with an emphasis on composition, colours and effect techniques. You will produce a large finished watercolour painting to take home. Flowers will be provided but bring any that you might like to paint.

Who’s a Pretty Polly?
WORKSHOP – Thursday 26 April

Calling all playful parrots, boogying budgies and groovin’ galahs!

Local artist Anna Mitchell returns to the Riddoch Gallery these school holidays with another of her popular workshops for kids.

Children will use colourful oil pastels & watercolour paints on paper to create their very own pet parrot and ‘dress them up’ with funky hats, glasses and party gear!

Suitable for ages 5 and up.

2 classes available: 11.00am-12.00pm & 12.30pm-1.30pm

Botanical Art Workshop with Jessie Rose Ford

Saturday 21 April, 10am – 1.30pm

Jessie Rose Ford is an award-winning artist based in Melbourne. She specialises in watercolour painting and grey lead drawing of botanical subjects, rendering her works in impressive realism. Now with over 2 years experience teaching her botanical art techniques, Jessie will embark on a journey teaching workshops around Australia. She is delighted to share her knowledge, connect with communities and build new relationships all while exploring more of our beautiful country and it’s diverse natural environments.

In this workshop Jessie will guide you through her step-by-step process to create your own botanical painting.

You will gain an understanding in:
-How to draw your subject accurately
-Transferring your drawing onto watercolour paper
-Observing light, shade and form
-Basic colour theory
– Matching and mixing the correct colour
-Watercolour techniques including wet-in-wet, blending and dry brush
-An appreciation for the minutiae of nature!

This workshop welcomes students of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced.
